Job Title: Constituency Support Manager
Working For: Alison Griffiths MP (Bognor Regis and Littlehampton)
Location: Littlehampton
Salary: Inline with IPSA Band 2 payscales, expected to be in the region of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience
Contract: Initial 6 month fixed term contract with a view to being made permanent on review
Hours: Ideally full time, but flexibility exists for the right candidate to work around school or other commitments.
Alison Griffiths MP is looking to recruit a Constituency Support Manager to support her work on behalf of the constituents of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. Alison is looking for a team member who is passionate about the difference MPs can make to the lives of their constituents and communities, with strong links to the constituency, good organisational skills and who is sympathetic to the aims of the Conservative Party.
The successful candidate will lead on casework management and oversee the constituency office. You will meet regularly with constituents and organisations from across the constituency, as well as accompany the MP at surgeries and on constituency visits; providing professional support and follow-up actions as needed. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be calm under pressure. Some experience of working in local government, professional services or within the voluntary and charitable sectors would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping people are essential. The role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage/lead, track and progress constituency casework, including line management of two caseworkers
- Oversee and triage the main MP inbox.
- Manage the constituency diary, office systems, and correspondence
- Maintain constituency office premises and manage office supplies
- Provide advice and support to constituents in person, by phone, and in writing
- Plan and arrange constituency visits, meetings, and events
- Support Alison at surgeries and local visits, including taking photographs and following up actions
- Research local, regional, and national issues to support Alison’s work
- Maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements
- Engage with local residents, organisations, and stakeholders professionally and effectively
- Respond to enquiries with sensitivity, confidentiality, and integrity
- Attend local events and meetings as required; some evening and weekend work may be required with flexibility available during the week

Essential Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to helping others
Desirable:
- Experience working in a parliamentary, public sector, or casework role
- Familiarity with the local area
- Sympathy with the aims and values of the Conservative Party.
