Location: Littlehampton (constituency office)
Salary: £25,795 – £39,095 (dependent on experience, in line with IPSA pay scales)
Hours: Full-time preferred (applications considered from candidates able to work a minimum of 5 hours per day)
Contract: Initial 6 month fixed term contract with a view to being made permanent upon review

Alison Griffiths, Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, is looking for a bright and highly organised Executive Assistant to join her constituency team in Littlehampton.
This is a central role in Alison’s office, ensuring her time is managed effectively and she has the right support in place to carry out her duties in Parliament and the constituency.
The successful candidate will be someone Alison can rely on completely—confident, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple priorities while remaining calm and professional.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a busy and changing diary, prioritising effectively and protecting the MP’s time

Arrange logistics for meetings, visits, travel, and events, ensuring Alison has everything she needs in advance

Work closely across the team, including with senior staff, to gather briefing materials and relevant information ahead of engagements

Handle last-minute changes and cancellations with diplomacy and efficiency

Engage confidently with stakeholders, including picking up the phone to confirm details rather than relying solely on email

Take accurate minutes of meetings and follow up on actions

Liaise with suppliers and manage security arrangements for the office and external events

Maintain accurate records, contact databases, and office systems

Provide general administrative support as required
Essential Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a busy administrative or Executive Assistant role

Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt quickly to changing circumstances

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels

A proactive approach—able to take initiative and solve problems independently

High attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, fast-paced team
Desirable

Experience in diary management for senior stakeholders

Knowledge of parliamentary processes or experience in a public sector environment

Familiarity with record-keeping systems and contact databases

£25,795 – £39,095 depending on experience, in line with IPSA pay scales

Based in Alison’s Littlehampton constituency office, with the opportunity to work in Westminster by agreement
