Blake Stephenson MP is seeking a full-time, hardworking, skilled and motivated Caseworker, to be based in his Mid-Beds constituency office. Hybrid arrangements would be considered for the right candidate with occasional travel to the constituency.
The successful candidate will be proactive, with strong writing, communication, AI, IT and organisational skills. The role also requires a flexible attitude and the ability to manage constituency casework, campaign emails and correspondence.
Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.
Key responsibilities
Casework oversight
- Managing a casework caseload, including complex and priority cases
- Managing a campaign caseload
- Drafting letters, emails and correspondence to constituents
- Continuous learning and development reviews to improve systems for triaging, recording and progressing casework
- Helping to develop templates, standard responses and internal guidance where appropriate
- Contributing to regular casework reviews and team discussions
Analysis and campaign links
- Identifying patterns, themes and recurring issues arising from constituency casework to help inform the MP’s local campaigns, policy work and stakeholder engagement
- Producing briefings for the MP and office team on emerging casework trends
Skills and qualities
- Strong writing, communication and organisational skills, and able to take the initiative
- Hardworking, flexible, proactive team player, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills and an understanding of responsible AI use
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritise workload
- Experience managing complex public-facing enquiries and processes
- Ability to work independently and contribute constructively as part of a small team
- Ability to use casework management software
- Politically aware, with an interest in current affairs
- Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party

Upon appointment, you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
