Salary: £50,000 – £60,000, depending on experience

Palace Yard also manages All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) and provides political insight to help stakeholders navigate Westminster.

The Role
The Programme Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of Palace Yard’s energy-focused programmes, managing projects from conception to completion and ensuring that events, policy outputs, and stakeholder engagement are of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

Programme delivery: Lead the planning and execution of Palace Yard’s energy and policy programmes, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs delivered to an exceptional standard.

Event management: Coordinate parliamentary and stakeholder events—securing venues, confirming speakers, preparing briefing materials, and managing guest lists.

Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with parliamentarians, industry partners, and policy experts, acting as a trusted point of contact.

Parliamentary liaison: Monitor activity across Parliament and government, identifying opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

Research and communication: Draft briefings, agendas, and written content that clearly communicate complex policy issues.

Operational support: Ensure systems, timelines, and processes run smoothly across multiple concurrent projects.

Programme and project management experience: Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver projects involving multiple partners and tight deadlines.

Politically aware: Understanding of the parliamentary process and a strong interest in UK politics and policy.

Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

Relationship builder: Skilled at developing and maintaining professional networks across business, politics, and academia.
